WE Hub – SERP: Unlocking the potential of Women Entrepreneurs and Enterprise creation in Telangana

WE Hub (Women Entrepreneurs Hub) and SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty), Government of Telangana signed a Memorandum of Understanding in August, 2020 to jointly work towards understanding & effective use of the ecosystem for women entrepreneurs in Telangana.

This Program is being implemented in 3 phases:

1)Research & Identification of Focus Sectors & Entrepreneurs

2)Training/ Capacity Building Methodology

3)Enterprise establishment and KPI tracking


As part of the implementation of the Program, WE Hub has designed a customized curriculum and organised a three day (from 29th Sept, 2020 to 1st Oct, 2020), “Trainer the Trainer” workshop in collaboration with SERP, at National Institute Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Hyderabad. The objective of the workshop was to train District Project Managers (DPMs) and Assistance Project Mangers (APMs) of SERP by inculcating the knowledge of entrepreneurship and teach scouting methodologies in identifying prospective entrepreneurs from their respective districts of Telangana. About 50 DPM/APMs from 11 districts of Telangana had attended the workshop.


Following the completion of Train the Trainer Programme on Enterprise Development for DPMs/APMs, the list of Entrepreneurs received from the 11 districts are to be screened. For this purpose, a State level Screening committee is constituted.


WE Hub with SERP to devise a program to cater capacity building support and Entrepreneurial Development Trainings for the candidates shortlisted by the Screening Committee and work towards the Establishment of the Enterprises.
